Rhino Forum 2014, Polonya
Dear Colleagues,
The 12th RHINOFORUM , the annual conference organized by the POLISH RHINOLOGY SOCIETY, will take place in December 2014 in Warsaw. Each conference so far has been a major rhinological event, including the most important authorities both from Poland and abroad.
The 2014 RHINOFORUM is a special event. It will be held on the 30th anniversary of the publication – by Prof. David Kennedy (USA), Prof. Heinz Stammberger (Austria) and Prof. James Zinreich (USA) – of the foundations for functional endoscopic sinus surgery. These three great doctors will be guests of honor at our conference. They will be accompanied by Prof. Valerie Lund (Great Britain): a great rhinosurgeon and excellent teacher. Therefore we have decided to call the conference RHINOLOGY GIANTS. In my opinion it will form an excellent opportunity to attend lectures held by those responsible for a worldwide scientific breakthrough.
Another great name who will be present at RHINOFORUM 2014 is my teacher of nasal surgery, Prof. Gerhard Rettinger (Germany). He is one of few people I know who sees the nose primarily as a respiration organ and not as an esthetic feature.
I do not have the means to present here all the lecturers from Poland and abroad who will participate in the conference: there are more than forty names, all of them worth mentioning. RHINOFORUM 2014 has been divided into five separate subject areas, so that each participant can find something of interest. The conference is aimed at both surgeons and non-surgeons.
Aside from purely rhinological issues, we have also included, for the third time, an international seminar dedicated to apnea, as in the past we have seen a lot laryngological interest in this topic.
